Washington has been at the center of aviation since 1916, when Bill Boeing founded our airplane company in a shipyard on Seattle’s Duwamish River. 

Today, Boeing is committed to leading in aviation and innovation by offering airplanes and services that deliver superior safety, design and efficiency. Many of our most innovative products are designed and built here in Washington, and we owe this success in no small part to the talent and community support of people in Washington state – thank you!
